Sweeney Todd Improv: Not While I’m Around

Another free improv, probably still from the Sweeney Todd experience on Broadway a few weeks ago.

I used to record piano music over and take, nitpick over the results, get frustrated at how long it was taking, and finally give up and post a still-imperfect version and feel unsatisfied with it. You can see some of these older recordings on my you tube channel still.

But I am trying to take my own advice that music is not about perfection. It is about communication. So these improvs are one take, one chance to say whatever I’m feeling in that moment, hiccups and all.
